A Little About Myself
Hello. My name is Julia Marie Ortloff. I was born and raised in Coushatta, Louisiana. I'm the mother and friend of five
awesome children and 2 beautiful grand daughters.
For the majority of my life, I resided in Louisiana with my family. In 2004, after meeting the man of my dreams, Carl
Ortloff, the (3) children, grand children and I moved to Helena, Montana, where I now reside with my husband, Carl. (Yep, we
got hitched in 2005).I began writing in third grade as a means of dealing with being an out cast kid in Louisiana. From there,
the hobby grew to be a way of life.....my very life line to survival. My first publication was a poem for the seniors of 1976,
published in the Springhill High School Paper.
The greatest joy in my life comes from writing for the Lord, who comes first in my life. With out His merciful and
bountiful love, I would have none of the blessings I live to enjoy every day. My writing is focused on song lyrics, poetry,
(Southern fiction) Christian based novels and children's stories, along with educational material for children. My parents,I
have to say, have probably been two of my greatest inspirations. I am who I am because of who they taught me to be.
My husband, children, grand children and many friends add to the pages of inspiration that keep the pen in motion for
me.This web site is designed, with you, the viewers and readers in mind.It is my sincerest hope and prayer that
each of you, when leaving this site, feel the love of God and family in each of the pages.
Without family, there is no connection to knowing you love and are loved in return.I'm country from head to
toe and my greatest fan is Minnie Pearl. That woman was everytjing I have ever wanted to be!
That's about all there is to tell, other than,I Love My Country and have to extend a salute to all the men and women
who put their lives on the line to ensure the liberties we so often take for granted.
"God Bless the U.S.A." Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and God Bless You.
